Gauntlet Group acquired by Clear Group
In January 2026, Clear Group completed the acquisition of Gauntlet Group, a UK-based specialist commercial lines insurance broker and national broker network.
Founded in 1994 by Roger Gaunt, Gauntlet Group has evolved into both a specialist, community-focused insurance brokerage and a leading principal for Appointed Representative (“AR”) insurance brokers, with a network of more than 50 brokers.
The acquisition by Clear Group will create a powerful new partner for independent brokers at every stage of their journey, as Gauntlet’s AR network combines with Brokerbility to create a unified home for entrepreneurial brokers across the UK.
