In April 2024, ICG European Mid-Market funds announced an investment into leading UK travel insurance specialist, Staysure Group.
Founded in 2004 by entrepreneur Ryan Howsam, Staysure is a leading provider of travel insurance to those with pre-existing medical conditions (PEMC). Staysure operates a portfolio of insurance brands and products which include Avanti travel insurance and Rock, a business-to-business travel insurance offering.
The investment from ICG will support Staysure’s growth trajectory by expanding its distribution channels and further investing in its sector leading pricing and marketing capabilities through enhanced technology, data and AI.
Continuum Advisory Partners acted as sole and exclusive financial adviser to the company in connection with the transaction. The transaction highlights Continuum’s sector expertise in advising specialist personal lines insurance intermediaries and in advising company founders on the transition into institutional ownership.
The transaction remains subject to customary regulatory approvals in the UK and Gibraltar.
