Tom is an experienced executive, strategic adviser, and board member and has worked extensively with corporations, investors, and family offices. Earlier in his career, he served as a senior government official in the Obama administration.
Tom is a partner at Hakluyt & Company, a global strategic advisory firm that helps companies and investors navigate a volatile world and supports them as they consider the opportunities and risks facing their businesses. Before Hakluyt, he was senior vice president for global strategy at PSP Capital, a privately held investment firm headquartered in Chicago, and served as counsellor and senior advisor for international economics to the US secretary of commerce. Previously, he was a finance and banking attorney in New York.
Tom has degrees from the University of Pennsylvania, Tufts University, and the University of Wisconsin. He sits on the board of the Chicago Council on Global Affairs.
